Brumer Family Tree
The Brumer and Gundalia families came from Glowno, Poland. A simplified Brumer family tree is below. Click to enlarge.
The last names are probably patronymic, as Brumer may be derived from "Abraham" and Gundalia may be in reference to Gindelia Lewkowicz (c.1756), a Glowno-born man who had a daughter named Golda Gindeliwiczowna (c.1793).

Szaia and Golda had a daughter, Fayga Szaiów (c.1784-1831),
who married Abram Brumer (c.1770-1847) and their children included:

1) Dwayrel Brumer (1802), who married Litman Herszkowicz in 1822 in Glowno.
2) Szajwe Brumer (1804), who married Uszer Grynbaum in 1825 in Glowno.
3) Szaia Brumer (c.1805), whose family continues below.
4) Malka Brumer (1810)

6) Ester Brumer (1814)
7) Herszek Jankiel Brumer (1816-1820)
8) Josek Brumer (1819)
9) Haje Szura Brumer (1821), who married Iciek Olsztein in 1840 in Glowno.
10) Eyzyk Brumer (1827)

Gindalia Frum (c.1756-1819) and Hana Bendkowska (born c.1770?; died between 1829-1844)  mentioned above, had several children who used a variation of the patronym "Gindalia" as a surname:

1) Dwayret Gindalia (born c.1788), who married Enzel Hasse in 1813 in Głowno.

2) Iciek Gendalia (born c.1789), who married Ryfka Sugacz in 1814 in Stryków.

3) (possibly) Golda Gindelaiowicz (born c.1793), who married Izrael Szliten (aka Izrael Jakubowicz) in 1816 in Głowno. Golda's father is named "Gindalia Lewkowicz" on her marriage record, which could mean that Gindalia Frum's father was named Lewek.

4) Sura Giendal (died 1815 in Głowno)

5) Dyna Gindalia (born c.1809)

Szaia Brumer (c.1805) and Dyna Gindalia (c.1809) married in 1829 in Glowno, and their children included:

1) Szlama Brumer (1831), who married Baila Opatowska in 1849 in Glowno.

4) Yenta Brumer (1840-1908), who married Leyzer Sender around 1862 in Strykow.
5) Hana Brumer (1844-1923)
6) Abram Mosiek Brumer (1848)

Hana Brumer (1844-1923), aka Anna Scher, married Szmul Michal Szer (1846-1880) in 1866 in Glowno. They had four children, who all immigrated to the United States:

1) Morris Scher (1867-1945), who settled in Paterson, NJ.
2) Dina Feitlowitz (1871-1936), who settled in Paterson, NJ.
3) Fannie Davis [born Feige Scher] (c.1875-1956), who settled in Spokane, WA.
4) Abraham Scher (1881-1949), who settled in the Bronx.

These immigrants' descendants include women with the names "Anita" or "Dianne/Deanna," who have kept the family names of Hana and Dyna alive for more than 200 years.
